Journey: Don't Stop Believing

I started appreciating this song, Don't Stop Believing by Journey after attending the SRDC bootcamp in Phuket, Thailand. It talks about living one day at a time and to never stop having faith in what you do. Perhaps, I leave the other messages of the song to your interpretation.

As I downloaded the music in youtube, I came across this video of a Filipino by the name of Arnel Pineda singing, "Don't Stop Believing" in Oprah Winfrey's show. Arnel's life story pretty much reflect this piece. He came from humble roots. His mother passed away and his father had a hard time making ends meet for the family. Arnel had to quit school and was forced to make it on his own. Using his gift in singing, he formed his band and sang in bars. When his video was uploaded in youtube, Neal Schon of Journey reached out to him. He was later recruited to become the lead vocalist of the band.

As part of my reflection, trading is not just having the skills to make the trade. It is 99% psychology. Success starts when you start believing and continue keeping the faith alive. If we are persistent, we are bound to get it and if we are consistent, we will keep it.

As we start managing our money, there are two things that define us: first is our patience when we have nothing and second is our attitude when we have everything.
