2017 January Kick-Off

I would like to share that I gained confidence in trading because of the support given by SRDC community. I know that I have a long way to go but just knowing the basic skills in technical trading analysis made me become a better person. It taught me discipline, patience and foresight. It is not what you know that matters but it is how you manage your reaction towards every situation.

Trading Journal

From 7/29/14 to 10/21/14

I opened a demo account for $5,000,000 USD. By using basic trading techniques with a conservative approach and partial application of money management, I was able to make $202,180.00 in 4 months.

The goal is to get acquainted with compass (or using trend lines to measure price movement), entry and exit strategies. My total PIP harvest without deducting Negative PIPS is 9,290. Unfortunately, the trend reversed and 2 stop losses were executed. This garnered -3,220 PIPS. My Net  PIP Harvest is 6,070.

From 10/3014- 11/5/14

I opened a demo account for $25,000 USD. With this amount, my account grew to $59,850 USD.  I was able to make $34,850 profit or 139.40%  ROI (return on investment). My total PIP harvest is 6,740 in a span of 5 trading days. Super big smile. The difference is strict application of money management. It's crazy and yet so AMAZING!

From 1/8/15- 1/21/15

More trades... I'm just having fun PIPPING.... Big smile!!!   :)

Make Impossible Dreams Possible.

Drawn to the Big Developments

I still don't understand why I get excited seeing new developments sprout left and right that deal with real estate. Perhaps, my skills will be used to become part of these projects in the future. It must be a joy to leave a legacy for the next generation to enjoy. I choose not to elaborate until I get my big break.

Candles & PIPS

I just placed two entries today. It's the first time that I've changed the lot size to a bigger value. I wonder what will be the net effect? Cannot wait to see the trades close. I'm not afraid of the downward movement of the candles. When they go down, they will soon pull back up again.

When It Hits Stop Loss, Let Go and Move On.

A Loss is a loss. Let Go and Move On. I hope this video will sort of calm down those who hit a loss or will hit a loss in the future. However when we remember instances on when to exit and stick to the basics, these potential losses could have been avoided. Just watch this video.

Still, do not give up on trading. When one entry does not work out, do not be so attached to the loss. There will be other entries wherein you can recoup the loss made. In the end, what matters most is how you traded. With a sharp mind, desiring heart and a disciplined self, all will be made well again in due time.

Think of Giving Up? Think Again.

When you feel like losing on a big trade, giving up on the calling to be a trader, doubting your skills and running away but don't know where to go? Take time off and watch a movie to calm yourself down. Let me share one of the movies that brought a smile on my face. It helped me defeat fear and worry. It's quite inspiring. It brings back the kid in us once again.

Everything starts in the mind. For every thought that you put in your head, every word that you say, every image that you portray in your vision becomes who you are. The secret ingredient in being great is nothing. It is the will of the mind to keep moving forward and headstrong face daily battles.

The future is important but there is always a process. We cannot just dream about the future without taking considerable steps to reach our goals. Start living in the present. Make sure that to all fellow pippers out there, start harvesting those PIPS to reach your dreams.

On Giving & Allocating

How to Beat Inflation and Still Give Accordingly
A trader's life has highs and lows. It is with a sound mind that one can keep peace and yet remain on this game. The wise would say that it better to be a giver than to be the receiver all the time. I would suggest that we set aside 10% of all our income and give it to advance the works of His kingdom on Earth. We can choose to sponsor foundations as well and give consistently to support their works. In my case, I've chosen to support this foundation: www.cleft-foundation.com

In addition, we set aside 15% of total earnings to buy certified precious metals. Currently, our paper money has been floating freely without being backed up by Gold. Unlike in the past, the currency of one's country has been pegged to its Gold reserve. Just like the basic rule of economics, at one point, all systems will self-correct and thus this this will give more value to Gold. Buy low and sell high. Gold, as ignored by many people is valued at a lower price. Looking ahead, 20 to 30 years from now, Gold's importance as a value indicator will drive its price up. Start storing Gold and reap the rewards later.
Aside from thinking of the future, it is best that we live the moment in the present. We continue to sow what we reap each day, one day at a time. We give a portion that is duly His (God's) and we reap the rewards from Heaven and also bear the rewards of success here on Earth.
Here are some bible verses on "Giving".

1 Corinthians 16:2
On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.

Acts 20:35
... remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Proverbs 11:24
One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.
